Welcome to The Modern Dakini House

The House is a space to gather monthly, an unshakable anchor amidst the ups and downs of life.

About the Community

The House is a Modern Temple, that brings together classical Buddhist teachings, artistic methods, community, and accountability, to evoke the energies of creativity, self-worth, beauty, inner wisdom, and healing.
Make the unseen seen, the ordinary extraordinary.
Develop a wider perspective of yourself and the world, feel your emotions freely, embrace and reconcile your past into how you inhabit your body, and share your story.
We are here to walk through the mud together. Make art out of the messy process of being fully alive and expressed.
FEBRUARY’S TOPIC:

What People Are Saying

"The Modern Dakini community is a space to imagine and visualize, to empower my visions and speak about them. I learned about different women who have embodied the dakini path with their practices and life’s purpose. The practices helped me to learn more about compassion, wisdom, and presence. A path to focus on my vision."   Malia

"Working with Moun has been deeply transformational on all levels. She holds a potent space that invites more possibilities while illuminating blindspots with tenderness and compassion. She’s a rare gem in her level of devotion to this work - just being in conversation with her feels like it's unlocking codes for liberation and love." Brighid

Meet Your Mentor

Moun is a spiritual teacher, coach, meditation guide, and artist. She weaves together the profound teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, contemplative psychotherapy, spiritual theater, and somatic techniques to help you embrace real self-love and self-trust.

With a focus on unlocking true human potential, Moun also shares her own lived experiences to empower individuals to break free from self-destructive patterns, rise above the pitfalls of comparison and competition, and transform their inner critic into epic creative expression.

Her approach is refreshingly playful, relatable, and unapologetically irreverent. To those she touches, she becomes more than a mentor – she's a spiritual big sister, fostering growth and guiding transformations.

For Moun, obstacles are like "fertilizer" for healing, recovery, and spiritual growth. Embracing the power of community and recognizing the inherent potential within, she paves the way for a life enriched with authentic love and meaningful connections. Moun currently lives in NYC teaches in-person classes, coaches clients 1:1, group programs, and retreats.

What is a Dakini

“Dakini in Sanskrit, Khandro in Tibetan, literally means “sky dweller” or “sky dancer,” and is the most sacred aspect of the feminine principle in Tibetan Buddhism, embodying both humanity and divinity in feminine form. The female embodiment of enlightenment.”
“The Dakini is a messenger of spaciousness and a force of truth, presiding over the funeral of self-deception. Wherever we cling, she cuts; whatever we think we can hide, even from ourselves, she reveals. The dakini traditionally appears during transitions. The Dakini appears when a spiritual practitioner is making the transition from an intellectual to an experiential approach.”
